Pastor’s Note 12/18/2025
I have to admit, the preparations for this Christmas have been challenging.
Thanksgiving was a whirlwind at our house as we loved hosting our Texas family for the long weekend and celebrating the 3 baptisms of our grandkids but that meant we were behind in our Christmas preparations.
Of course there are all the challenges of getting the house decorated, (which never seems to go as smoothly as expected), the purchasing of Christmas gifts (the bulk of that task goes to my wife Karyn), the preparation and mailing of Christmas cards (my job), getting Christmas gifts wrapped (Karyn’s job), the mailing of gifts (my job), preparations for the hosting of Christmas (both of our jobs).
We aren’t quite ready yet, but we are closer.
My hope is that we will be able to enjoy the final days before Christmas, soaking in the holiday Spirit and celebrating the reason why we do all that we do at this time of year. That is to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
My prayer for each of us is that we will be able to gather with family and friends and celebrate Jesus.
Join us this Sunday (at 9:45am) and on Christmas Eve (at 4pm) as we celebrate Jesus’ birth.
Have a great rest of the week and I hope to be able to say “Merry Christmas” to you in person this coming week!
Pastor’s Note 12/11/2025
Don’t forget that this Sunday is “Christmas Carol Sunday” when we will be singing some of your favorite Christmas carols in our service. There will be lots of music as we anticipate the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
Hope to see you this Sunday and invite a friend or family member to come and sing along.
