Pastor’s Note 04/16/2026

How can I help?

Those are words that a pastor loves to hear, so when I hear those words from someone, my thoughts begin to dream of possibilities. What could I have this person do that would be helpful at church? Can they help in the office? Maybe they can do work in our garden? Maybe they can make phone call to a person who is new to attending LCPC?

Or, with a bigger picture in mind, maybe this person can help with God’s kingdom work here at LCPC and in our community by praying?

If there is one thing that would help more than anything else at LCPC is for you to pray. Prayer is a critical aspect of our church’s ministry.

  • Prayer helps to align our desires with God’s        desires.
  • Prayer helps to submit our will to God’s will.
  • Prayer humbly places our lives into God’s            hands.
  • Prayer places us in a dialogue with our God       who is relational and wants us to come to         Him with our needs and our wants. He wants      to hear about our joys and our sorrows.

If there is one thing that you can do right now for me and for our church it is to pray.

Together, as we place our future in God’s hand, we will be doing what He has called us to do, and we can have an impact for His kingdom in our community.

So, how can you help? Pray. That would be a huge gift.

See you on Sunday as we continue to look at God’s Promises.
