Pastor’s Note 3/5/21

Training

Last weekend the leadership of LCPC gathered together on a Zoom call to talk about our church’s task to fulfill God’s mission for us found in Matthew 28, “To go and make disciples . . .” It was a helpful time for me to understand our current ministries and to begin to pray about our future ministries and how we might impact Lakeside, East County and the world for Christ. Granted it was only the first steps and we still have a long way to go but it was helpful for me as the new guy around here.

LCPC Values

One of the core values that we discussed was the need to be a church that prays. All that we do and all that we dream to do, must have at its foundation, prayer. We need to seek God’s wisdom and guidance for the future. We also wanted to be a church that is praying for each other. To that end, we need your help.

We made a commitment to pray for the families that attend our Children’s Center, knowing that at this time, with all that surrounds COVID restrictions and guidance, it is especially difficult for families. So many of the Elders and Deacons committed to praying for a specific family at the Children’s Center but we still need 10 more people to pray for 10 families that are attending the preschool. Let me know if you are willing to do that by emailing me at pastortim@lakesidepc.org. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Outdoor Service

This Sunday, March 7 at 10am we will again be worshipping at the Lindo Lake Pavilion which will be a great opportunity to be with each other. Not only will be
able to see others from LCPC but this gives a great opportunity for you to invite someone that might want to come to church. There may be a neighbor, friend or family member who if you invited them to a worship service at a church building wouldn’t attend but a worship service at a park, that is something they would consider. So think and pray for someone that you can invite this Sunday.

See you Sunday!
