“We Love God, Love People and
Make Disciples of Jesus.”
At last month’s Session meeting we worked on word-smithing our mission statement so that it would be a memorable phrase that reflects what we want to accomplish as a church. The above statement is what we came up with.
The power of a mission statement is only impactful if it is implemented by those who follow it. This is something that we as leaders and that you and I as partners in this ministry must do.
We need to let these words guide us as we plan and we need put these words into action as we live.
We must love God, love people and make disciples of Jesus.
This is what we do as a church and this is what we do as individuals. These words will guide what we say and they will guide what we do. We need to live these words out as they instruct and direct our paths individually and as they direct the path that our church follows in the months and years ahead.
