Pastor’s Note 08/06/2026
We have planted a few bushes and trees at our home. Most of them have taken root and continue to grow and flourish, others haven’t fared so well.
When a tree takes root, going deep into the life-giving earth, it isn’t long before things start to happen above ground. New branches shoot-out. Green leaves appear. The trunk gets wider and sturdier.
It is similar for us as Christ-followers. The deeper your roots grow into Christ, the stronger and more fruitful you’ll become. And the more you will be equipped to withstand life’s storms.
As we continue in our study of 1 Peter, we will take a look at what is necessary to grow in Christ. This growth helps us as we live our lives in the world and helps as seek to be a witness for Christ to others.

Pastor’s Note 07/30/2026
This Sunday we are back to our sermon series in 1 Peter, “Hope for the Hurting” as we will dig into the second chapter of this letter from the pen of the Apostle Peter. Do not forget, bring your Bible so you can “circle, highlight, and underline” the spiritual insight’s that Peter was trying to communicate to the Christ-followers of the 1st century and to us in the 21st century.
