Lakeside Presbyterian

Children’s Center

Our program provides children many opportunities to motivate independence and healthy self-esteem while fostering Christian values.  Skill development is encouraged through activities such as math, reading readiness, language, science and motor coordination.  Creativity and social skills are fostered through music and movement experiences, creative arts and dramatic play.

Our teaching staff is well qualified by education and experience in working with children of a variety of ages.  It is the goal of our staff to build self-esteem and to help the child develop satisfying relationships with people outside the home. Beginning October 2025, we will offer infant care. Spots are limited, so call today.

Director, La Teresa Oropeza

Hello, my name is La Teresa Oropeza, I am the new director here at Lakeside Presbyterian Children’s Center.  It is a privilege to be at this faith-based center as it has been a testimony for the community for over seventy years.  The staff, church and families here have been such great encouragement, such a great place to work.

I am looking forward to the new school year as we continue to educate our children not only in the academics but also planting the seeds of biblical truth. My goal as a director is to have your children ready to move on to the next level and to meet the challenge of transitioning to elementary level.  This includes all the domains of academics, social, emotional, physical and spiritual.  As early educators, we will come along parents to help your child to thrive in a school environment.

I have been in the early education field for over thirty years, during this time I have had the opportunity to teach all ages and to grow into the position of director for the last twelve years.

My door is always open, and I thank you as parents for entrusting your child’s early years here at LPCC.
