22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-25
Are you a patient person?
I like to think that I am a patient person until I sit in traffic on the freeway. Then I can get frustrated and can even get angry. I still need to work on being a patient person. We probably all do.
This week we take a look at the virtue of patience in our sermon series on the Fruit of the Spirit that is found in Galatians 5. These nine virtues aren’t just characteristics to hope for or aren’t characteristics for certain people. These virtues are for all Christians, and they are produced by the Holy Spirit living within us.
I hope that you can join us this Sunday as we explore this important trait of the Christ follower who is empowered and changed by the Holy Spirit.
