Pastor’s Note 09/08/22

With school well under way and Labor Day behind us, I wanted to make sure that you knew that this Sunday, September 11 we will be praying for all of our students and teachers that are a part of LCPC faith community.

This is going to include our preschool teachers, all the teachers that teach in public schools, the moms and dads that homeschool, our Sunday School Teachers and Bible study leaders (both for children and adults) and for all of our students. It is one way that we want to make sure that we are making prayer foundational to all that we do.

We also are going to have some extra tasty goodies for after the church service, during coffee fellowship, so I hope that you can come and be part of this Sunday at LCPC.

See you on Sunday and have a great rest of the week.

Pastor’s Note 09/01/2022

Prayer is a key aspect of the Christ-follower. It is our connection to God and a critical aspect to seeking to follow His way in our lives, both personally and corporately. It is also one way that we live out our mission as a church which is to Love God, Love People and Make Disciples of Jesus.

This Sunday I wanted to invite you to “All Church Prayer” at 9:30am in the Pastor’s Office. We want to be more intentional integrating prayer into our lives and into the life of our church, so grab a cup of coffee and head around the corner to meet with others for a time of prayer for the upcoming worship service and for things going on in our lives and in our world. If you cannot come this Sunday, then come on another Sunday as we make this time of prayer a regular part of our Sunday routines.

This is one of many spiritual exercises we will be incorporating into the life of our church throughout this year as we seek to live out our calling to be a church with prayer at its foundation.

I hope that you can join us this Sunday at our 9:45am worship service as we have a special “Gospel Sing Sunday” with plenty of fun music that you will want to sing and clap along with. We will be continuing our sermon series in the Gospel of Mark as we look at the pinnacle of Jesus’ ministry when He is “transformed” on the mountain in Mark 9.

This Sunday we also have a Family Ministries meeting right after church in the Sanctuary, talking about our ministry to families and students in the months ahead. If you have children in your family or a grandchild that you would like involved then come to this meeting.
We are also having Eat & Greet this Sunday at 12:15pm so come as we share a meal together as a church family with our community.

Be looking out for the September LCPC Connections Newsletter. We have some upcoming ministry events that you won’t want to miss! It should be coming to your email inbox next week or you can pick up a copy on the first Sunday in September.

Have a great rest of the week and I hope to see you on Sunday.
