Fall Back, but Looking Ahead

Hi, it’s me again!

This Sunday, November 7 marks my first complete year of serving as your pastor at LCPC. It was one year ago that I preached my first sermon in the sanctuary in front of many of you on November 8th but it was shortly thereafter that the COVID protocols limited our in person gatherings. It has been a year of starts and stops, of moving forward and then taking a pause but through it all I still sense God’s calling that we have work to do together for His Kingdom.

2022 Pledges & Time/Talent
At Sunday’s worship we will be receiving our 2022 pledges. You should have received in the mail a letter from myself and from the Stewardship Committee. There also was a Pledge Card for 2022 that will help in our planning for the next year. If you can prayerfully consider a pledge for next year, bring your card and together we will dedicate our pledges for the coming year. If you didn’t receive a pledge card in the mail you can stop by the office or there will be some available on Sunday.

Congregational Meeting
Also on Sunday after our worship service we will be having our Annual Congregational Meeting. It is the time when we elect our leadership teams (the Elders and Deacons) for the coming year, review the 2022 Budget, along with the congregational approval of the Pastoral salary package. I hope that you can attend and if you can’t, I will appreciate your prayers.

Fall Back
Don’t forget, this Sunday we set our clocks back one hour so I hope to see you at church on time this Sunday.

A Note from Pastor Tim

This Sunday is Halloween (Sunday, October 31), and we are having a special Eat & Greet at 12:15pm with a Halloween themed lunch for our community. There will be plenty of good conversation and fun games for those that attend. We would love for you to invite people to the lunch and for you to help with set-up, serving or cleanup.

We are also saying “goodbye” to our Office Manager. We are grateful for the gift that she has been to our church and pray for God’s blessings as she goes.

Be praying for our ministry and that more hearts will be open to hear the Good News of Jesus as we share it in a variety of ways.

Have a great rest of the week.
