Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church

Memorial Day is the traditional start of summer and I am excited that we are about ready to purchase picnic tables for the memorial garden at LCPC so we can enjoy our newly renovated landscaping. These will be a great way to kick-off summer.

We are going to purchase 5 new picnic tables (which will include one that will be able to accommodate anyone that uses a wheelchair or a walker). The new tables will be great additions enhancing our patio area and encouraging conversations and building relationships with others across a table.

The tables will cost approximately $8,000 and I wanted to invite you to make a contribution to help with this purchase. Any amount, large or small, will help in getting these tables.

If you are able, make a check out to LCPC and on the memo line, designate it “picnic tables.” You can also use the new pew envelopes and check the “other” box, making a note that your donation is for picnic tables.

Have you signed up for the 24-hour Prayer Vigil yet? It begins on Saturday, May 23 at 9am and concludes on Pentecost Sunday, May 24 at 9am. It is a chance for us as a church to make a concerted effort to pray for our church, our community, and our world.

This Sunday at church you will find sign-up sheets for 30-minute time slots to pray, and more than one person can be praying during the same 30-minute time slot. You can also call the church office (or email Silvia office@lakesidepc.org) to sign-up for a time slot.

Also, we will have a prayer guide that you can use (if you would like), to help you pray. It is a way for us as a church family to come together united in pray and praying for God to impact our lives in Jesus’ name!
