Pastor’s Note 03/14/2024

This Friday and Saturday we will be having a “24-Hour Prayer Vigil” taking time as a church to pray for our neighbors. If you haven’t signed up that is OK, you can still take part by praying any time between 9am on Friday, March 15 – Saturday, March 16 at 9:00am.

The theme of this prayer vigil is to be praying for our neighbors. Take this opportunity to pray, especially for people that you know that don’t know Jesus. In fact, be specific. Pray for three people that you know that need to know Jesus and make it a point to invite them to Easter service.

Let’s see how God moves in the lives of the people that we pray for.

Pastor’s Note 03/07/2024

This coming Sunday we begin a new sermon series entitle “Encounters with Jesus” as we look at several different people that Jesus met during His time on earth.

For the next few weeks, we are going to look at different people that Jesus encounters. Throughout His life, Jesus encounters all kinds of people. Some were blind or had leprosy. Some were fisherman or tax collectors, or prostitutes. Some were the religious elite, the Pharisees, Scribes and Levites. There were people who faced racism, people who were ostracized because of their occupation or because of a disease. We are going to look and see how Jesus interacted with these different people and how they fit into the bigger story that Jesus taught, that the Kingdom of God was expanding. We are also going to learn that today, we can also be a part of that expansion story.

So I hope that you can come and see what we can learn from these Jesus encounters.

Have a great rest of the week.
