A Note from Pastor Tim . . .

Back to Church Weekend

September 18 & 19

I wanted to make sure that you mark your calendar for Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19 as we celebrate “Back to Church Weekend.”

Saturday evening at 5pm we will be having a potluck BBQ dinner (the church will provide the main course with potluck side-dishes and desserts brought by all of you) with live music, games, a bounce house for kids and prizes for all. It should be a fun time to gather and share a meal together. More details and how to sign-up will be coming (and we are going to need everyone’s help). We also want you to invite others who maybe haven’t been to church for awhile or maybe have never been to church, so be thinking about who to invite.

On Sunday morning will be worshipping together and having goodies before and after church. It will also be a time when we are introducing some new ministries that will be starting in the Fall, so you can gather information and have an opportunity to sign-up.

Be praying for this event and for those that will be coming “Back” to church.

Have a great rest of the week and know that I am praying for you.

Pastor’s Note August 11, 2021

Last Saturday, I was able to celebrate with family and friends the marriage of my daughter Lizzy to Zack Ziegler (yes, there are a lot of “z” in her name now). This dad was filled with tears of joy as I walked Lizzy down the aisle at the start of the ceremony. It was the culmination of my wife Karyn and me, parenting Lizzy. She is now a part of a new household, a new family, as she and Zack begin life together as a married couple. We couldn’t be more thrilled.

It was also amazing to read a text from Linda Ringenberg (one of our church’s mission partners who I met for the first time back in June) at the start of the ceremony. Her text said that she was praying for the wedding and for Zack and Lizzy. It was a simple text but it encouraged my heart so much. It was just what I needed as we started the wedding. People will be praying for Lizzy and Zack. There will be a community of people who are encouraging, advising and mentor them. They will have models of what life is like as a married couple.

So my encouragement to you is to be an encourager. Send a text with some encouraging words to a friend. Call someone and let them know that you are praying for them. Write a note to a neighbor letting them know that you were thinking about them. These words of encouragement can be so important as we go through life.

Have a great rest of the week and know that I am praying for you.
