Pastor’s Note 01/27/23

I hope that you can come and worship with us this Sunday as we continue our sermon series on prayer and if you can’t worship with us in-person, then be sure and view the worship service on our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/

@lakesidecommunityprebyster4793). I know that there are some Sundays when you can’t attend in-person but you can always keep up with our worship services and sermon series by watching on-line.

Also don’t forget that we are preparing for a grand 130th anniversary celebration at the old church on Sunday, March 19 at 10am that everyone is invited to attend. As details are coming together it should be a fun community-wide morning which will include a pancake breakfast after the service.

We could use help with set-up and clean-up so if you can, we would love your help.

Flyers are available if you want to hand one to a friend or a neighbor and we will put information up on the church website and on social media.

Have a great rest of the week.

Pastor’s Note 01/19/23

Be sure and mark your calendar for Sunday, March 19 as we celebrate the 130th Anniversary of Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church.

The Lakeside Historical Society has graciously allowed us to host our worship service at the Old Church on Maine Street that Sunday and we are anticipating doing a variety of fun and celebratory activities surrounding the anniversary. More details about what will be taking place are coming, so keep your eyes out for those activities.

Two things that I would like for you to do between now and March 19. First, be praying about the event. Pray for the planning, for the details and for the message of Christ’s faithful love for this community and for His faithful love for this community into the future. Our prayer will be for the impact that we will have for God’s Kingdom as a church in the years to come. Second, start getting the word out that we will be having this celebration. Be sure to tell your friends and those that are alumni of the Lakeside Presbyterian Children’s Center to come and attend. It would be great to see people return to help us celebrate the faithful ministries of this church over the past 130 years.

In the meantime, I hope to see you on Sunday.
