Cornerstone

June, is  often referred to as the wedding month.

The Bible gives instructions to a young man and young women who are about to enter into marriage. Genesis 2:24 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife: and they shall become one flesh.”

Often wedding’s include passages from 1 Corinthians into their ceremony, …Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered…bears all things, believes all things hopes all things,…Love never fails…But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

A colleague who is getting married this month shared a saying he heard, and it struck me how honest it describes what it takes for a successful marriage of a man and a woman.
“A Perfect Marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other.”

Amen!

Cornerstone

Ever wonder why you are here?  What is your purpose?  Do you know you were born for a reason?

God didn’t create the world and walk away, He is active and patient, wanting a relationship with you.

No matter what you have done, or whatever are your thoughts, you are so important that Jesus was born to take your sins away, and He did this by his death on the cross.

The miracle is that death was not the end,  after 3 days Jesus was raised.  God is so holy, that our sinful lives create a separation from Him, but He came to us  as a baby and grew into a man; a man without sin.

It was His destiny to take our sins away for the purpose of creating a “bridge” between you and God so we can having a relationship with our Lord.

It’s simple, amazing, and powerful.  All you need to do is believe in Him, Jesus as your savior.  He lives, but God knew that as simple it is, we are weak, so to provide additional help He came to us, and poured out his spirit… the Holy Spirit.  All three are one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

“And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Acts 2:21).
