Pastor’s 04/02/2026
Easter Sunday will be the grand celebration of the start of a new season in the life of the Christian Church. Jesus’ resurrection from the dead means that there is a change, a shift in our journey with God.
Lent marked a time when we walked with Christ to the cross. Day by day, we paused to do some introspection, to offer prayers of forgiveness, and to daily make sacrifices, in remembering the 40 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness.
In church we refrained from saying “Hallelujah”, but Easter marks a change in our outlook on life. With Christ’s victory over death there is new life, a new way of living, and it touches our relationship with God, our neighbors, and our world. The cross purchased an unending, infinite amount of grace and love for every daughter and son of the Christ follower. The empty grave reminds us that Christ conquered death. The silence was over. Death has no sting and because of this reality we live our lives differently.
My prayer for each of us is that we would live life differently because of Easter. May the resurrection of Christ cause us to be “Easter people” who portray a love for God, for our neighbor, and for our world as we seek to make disciples of those that don’t know Him.
See you on Easter Sunday at 9:45am as we celebrate our new lives because of Christ’s resurrection.

Over the next week, LCPC will be remembering Christ’s last week, and it is the perfect time to invite someone to come with you to church.
- This Sunday is Palm Sunday and Christ’s Triumphant Entry. Willie the Donkey is going to be leading our processional into church as we remember the people of Jerusalem proclaiming Jesus as King.
- Following our Worship Service, we are having an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30am for kids from 1 year to 10 years. Bring your own Easter basket to collect eggs but it should be a fun time on our playground hunting for eggs. Everyone is invited to stay for a free lunch at Eat & Greet at 12:15pm.
- Starting on Monday and continuing each day at noon, we will walk with Jesus to the cross at our daily communion services. It is a short 15-minute service that helps prepare our hearts for what Jesus did on the cross for us.
- Thursday evening at 6pm, we will have a Maundy Thursday service, remembering Christ’s Last Supper with His disciples and His instructions to them and to us, on how we are to remember Him.
- Friday evening at 6pm is our Good Friday Services and the Rite of Nails. During this service we “nail our sins to the cross” in a moving time as we hear the nails being pounded into the cross, remembering the pain that Christ endured being nailed to the cross for us.
- Then the following Sunday we celebrate Christ’s Resurrection at our 9:30am worship service. It is a celebration of Christ’s triumph over death that the Church around the world celebrates.
It’s the perfect week to invite someone. You have a great opportunity to invite friends and family to our Palm Sunday Worship service, Holy Week Communion services, Maundy Thursday Service, Good Friday service and Easter Sunday Worship Celebration. The best way for us to grow as a church is person-to-person, relationship-by-relationship. A person is going to come because you invite them as you share your excitement about your love for Jesus and His church.
Pray about who you may invite and then invite them and let’s see what God will do.
