Pastor’s Note 03/19/2026
Around the world, millions of people lack access to sustainable food sources, clean water, sanitation, and education. The work done in support of the causes supported by One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) — disaster, hunger, poverty, climate change, and immigration/migration and refugees —serves individuals and communities in need. This work provides people with safety, sustenance, and hope.
Some of the ministries that will be supported with this offering are:
- Ukrainian refuges in Moldova through the YMCA
- Flood relief in Gahana through the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Gahana.
- Grants for those who suffered in the Southern California Wildfires.
- Solor panels for hospitals in Puerto Rico.
Through the multiple gifts of church across the United States, lives are changed and hope is given in the name of Jesus.
Let me encourage you (if you are able) to give to this important ministry of the Presbyterian Church.
Pastor’s Note 03/12/2026
“The earth brought forth vegetation… trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God saw that it was good.”
Genesis 1:12
Have you walked around our newly landscaped church campus?
If you take a walk around all of the paths, from the front of the church, around to the memorial garden, through the breezeway, then around the granite path of our front lawn and back, you will have taken an easy 1/8-mile walk. On your walk, you can check out the various plants and trees that are flourishing after all of the recent rains.
There is still more work to be done on our church grounds. We need to purchase some picnic tables, umbrellas, and outdoor string-lights for the patio area so that we can enjoy the new setting in the years to come.
As I think back over the past few years I am reminded of God’s goodness. He has provided for us in so many ways, and the new landscaping is evidence of that. Thanks to all who have helped to make this happen and I am looking forward to what God has in store for us in the years ahead.
Have a great rest of the week.
