New beginnings

As kids when we played games sometimes we would ask for a “do over”, a second chance, or as it is known in golf a “mulligan”.  When a player makes a mistake or their performance is poor they ask to not have the mistake count and to replay their turn.

In life, we often think that a “do over” is limited to games and that life doesn’t give second chances.  We are so very wrong thinking like this because Jesus gives us a second chance.  We have been given the greatest opportunity to have a  “do over” and all that is asked is that we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.  Faith that we accept Christ Jesus, who has died for our sins and has made us all have a new beginning, forgiven and freed from the chains of our past mistakes.

Christmas

I know of no other religion where the world celebrates a season wrapped in love, hope, and joy. This Christmas may we be reminded to have child-like faith because we ‘ve been given the greatest gift of all; a babe born to save us, a gift of love from above, a gift from the great I Am.

Merry Christmas to all.

Our hearts weep

To our brothers and sisters north of us, our hearts weep and prayers go out to you as you cope with the aftermath of the devasting fires. May God’s grace be upon you and comfort you in this very difficult time.
