How Do I Meet People?

At Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church you don’t have to just be a spectator.  We have something exciting for a five-year old child to a ninety-something great-grandparent, a busy mom or career woman, or a working man with challenging responsibilities, we invite you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at LCPC…..

Small Groups

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, LCPC has small Bible studies held in member homes and at the church. The size of the group is anywhere from four to twelve.

Children and Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers are carefully screened and trained in children’s instruction.

The youth ministry of LCPC (SURF and Impact) is recognized for their close fellowship as well as challenging learning and fun times.

Young Adults – CELTS

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of LCPC provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women’s Group – GIFT

LCPC gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. The women (of all ages) get together a throughout the month for Bible study, prayer, outreach to the congregation and the community (and, of course we always have great food).  GIFT provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

Men’s Group – IRONMEN

Monthly dinners with a study time allow the men of the church to fellowship and grow together.  Our mutual accountability is also important to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages.   Annual retreat and conferences are also a part of what we do together.

Senior Citizens – Young at Heart

Once you get past sixty, the fun has just begin. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the seniors of our congregation have fun getting together with social activities all around San Diego Country.  They also provide a valuable resource including putting together the church bulletin, attending to facility needs such as volunteering for the Saturday work party or helping at the Retreat.  You name it, this group of older believers offer valuable enrichment to our church as they serve the Lord.

Married Couples

Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. LCPC has held movie events, such as Fireproof, and we’ve joined other churches in Lakeside for larger couples seminars.
