* Our Pastoral Assistant grew up in Norwell, a small town southeast of Boston, Massachusetts. 

 * Began college at Purdue University to become an electrical engineer, but received Christ as his Savior during the first year.  During the second year he committed his life to full-time ministry for the Lord.  While at Purdue he met and married his wife, Maxine.

* Graduated from Purdue with a B.S. in mathematical statistics, and continued there,  receiving a M.S. in speech and psychology.

* Received his theological training at Denver Seminary, being awarded a M.Div. degree.

* In 1966, took a position as Minister of Education at the First Baptist Church of Wayne, Michigan, where he was ordained to the Gospel ministry.

* In 1970, assumed the position of Minister of Education and Administration (Executive Pastor) at First Baptist Church of West Los Angeles, CA. Served as Interim Pastor there in 1979-80.

* From 1980-1994 served as Associate Director of Conservative Baptist Association of Southern California, providing business and organizational assistance to its 140 churches.

* In 1994 began an independent consulting ministry, Financial Foundations, providing business, administrative and financial services to churches and other Christian organizations throughout the U.S.

* Since 1988 has served on the Board of Directors of Evangelical Christian Credit Union in Brea, CA.  Also serves on the Board of Directors of Ministry Partners Investment Company, LLC. in Brea.

* Holds the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner^®

* Joined Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church in 2003.

* Joined church staff as Pastoral Assistant in 2009.

* His principal “hobby” is his 2,500+ hours as a private pilot, instrument-rated, in his Piper Cherokee as he carries out ministry activities in the Pacific southwest.
