Jason
Earnest is a native of Lakeside, and a graduate of
El Capitan
High School. He was
born at
San Diego
Navel
Hospital and was
adopted a few weeks later by his parents Russell and Pennie. As a child,
Jason attended a Christian daycare where he was eventually led to the
Lord at the age of eleven. During his teenage years, Jason struggled to
live the Christian life, and he believes this is why Christ has given
him the desire to serve in youth ministry. He believes it is important
to give guidance and support to those pre‑teens and teens who have a
desire to serve Christ with their lives, but are struggling with the
pressures of this world.

In his early twenties, Jason joined the Army and proudly served
his country as an Airborne Infantryman in the 3rd
Infantry Regiment. Although Jason was able to accomplish many
things during his service, he is most proud of being selected out of
1200 soldiers to represent The Office of The Secretary Of Defense as a
VIP escort.

After receiving an honorable discharge in 2001 and 2004, Jason
continued to follow the Lord's calling into full time ministry. While
obtaining a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a M.A. in Youth and Family
Counseling from
Washington
Bible
College and Capital
Bible Seminary in Lanham MD, Jason served at various levels within the
local church and Christian Education ministries. He spent six years
serving in Upper Marlboro, MD at Life Church/Clinton Christian School in
the following capacities: Grounds Team Member, Computer Teacher,
Assistant to Senior Pastor, Middle and High School Bible Teacher,
Director of Children's Ministry, Director of Sunday School, Chapel
Speaker, and Assistant Director/Personal Manager of Summer Camp. Jason
also spent three years serving at Eternal Grace Bible Church in McLean,
Virginia, as a member of the Leadership Team, and Director of Youth
Ministry.

The Lord recently brought Jason and his family back to Southern California and now to
Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church. Jason, his wife Lisa, and two
children, Jason lI and Jayly are excited about the opportunity to
partner in ministry with the members of LCPC.
