* Son of career Presbyterian missionaries to Cameroon, West Africa.
* First 10 years of life and 4 years of early education on mission field.
* Later elementary education at Wasatch Academy, a Presbyterian boarding school in Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
* High School education in Lemoore, California while parents took 3 year leave of absence from missions. Father was pastor of Lemoore Federated Church.
* Received Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, where he boarded for 4 years. Parents had returned to the mission field in Africa.
* Graduated from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity degree.
* Ordained in 1960 and installed as pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Greensburg, Indiana. Served 2 years.
* Called as Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church, Bloomfield, New Jersey. Served 2½ years. Emphases were Christian Education and Youth Program.
* Moved to California. Left the active pastorate and was employed with System Development Corporation (now Unisys) in Santa Monica, California.
* Worked for Unisys for 24 years as instructor and field advisor to U.S. and allied Air Forces in Command and Control Operations and real-time simulated air defense training. During his career, he served as Training Consultant at U.S. Air Force stations in New Jersey, Washington and Michigan as well as to air commands in Viet Nam, Thailand, Korea, Japan and Iran.
* Also served as technical writer on training section of major Command Systems proposals. Retired from Unisys in 1990.
* Trained at Cuyamaca College on irrigation techniques and worked as a water auditor under the Greater Mountain Empire Resource Conservation District in El Cajon during the drought years from 1992-1994.
* Returned to pastoral ministry in 1994 as Pastoral Assistant at Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church.
