In 1959, the La
keside Presbyterian Retreat Incorporated
campground began as an arrangement between 15 families that wanted to create a
camping area for use by the members of Lakeside Community Presbyterian Church.
This endeavor started with a small cash outlay of about $1500, supplied by 15
families, which culminated in creating a woodland oasis used for weekend and
summer camp programs. Take a look at some of the early pictures, from "The

Over the years the camp
has had upgrades and additions installed t
o
continue to make it an appealing campground retreat. Take a gander at some
of the improvements that have occurred over the
years.
